Bluebell and Bird Walks 2019

Booking is now open for our Bluebell and Bird Walks which will take place late April/early May. 

John Revill of the Woodland Trust leads a gentle walk to visit Oldmoor Wood, taking roughly an hour and a half to explore this beautiful ancient woodland, preserved and maintained by the Woodland Trust.  The wonderful carpet of bluebells are a magnificent display. All birds will be identified by song and sight.

Tours of Strelley Hall with Afternoon Tea

We are now booking the following date for our ever-popular Tours of Strelley Hall with Afternoon Tea for 2019:

Sunday 12th May (currently spaces available, please call 0115 906 1306 to confirm)


Tours cost £15 per person and consist of a guided tour of Strelley Hall and parts of the grounds (please wear suitable outdoor clothes) starting at 1pm in the Panelled room in the Main Hall building, followed by a delicious Mulberry Tree Afternoon Tea in the Cafe afterwards at approximately 2.30pm.

Bill Lupton is an experienced Artist and Tutor who runs weekly classes, and occasional Full-Day classes. They are fun and informal, include ALL materials and Tea/Coffee and biscuits, and are suitable for all abilities including beginners.

New Beauty Salon at Strelley Hall

The Lash Lounge is a beauty boutique based within the grounds of Strelley Hall (at Dairy Cottage, near to the entrance to the Stables retail courtyard, room 2 on the 1st floor), and offers a range of lash and brow treatments, as well as spray tanning and gel polish for hands and feet.  We have an in-house make-up artist for bridal and occasion makeup as well as having an Aesthetics Practitioner who visits the Lounge monthly.

The Lash Lounge is a beauty salon run by expert beautician Sarah Clay.

The beautiful function rooms at Strelley Hall are the ideal place for a party, conference or funeral wake, below is the Morning Room ready for a Christmas party.  Afternoon Tea birthday or Anniversary parties are always popular. We now have an alcohol licence so can supply alcoholic drinks for events.

"Created by Hand" Craft Shop and Workshops

"Created by Hand" -  a gift and craft shop selling quality locally-produced items.  The shop is in the Stables area at Strelley Hall, right next to the Mulberry Tree Cafe, and stocks a wide range of handmade items crafted from ceramic, fused glass, paper, mixed media and also jewellery.


Created by Hand offer courses and workshops run by talented crafters, visit us for more information. These are held on-site in our new craft workshop.


Opening hours are 10am-4pm every day except Mondays.

Rooms available to hire

The Morning Room (capacity c.40 people max) and the Panelled Room (capacity c.60 people max) at Strelley Hall are large elegant Georgian rooms, and are both available to hire for parties, conferences, funeral wakes, weddings etc.  We also have 2 smaller meeting rooms available.  Please see our website www.strelley.com or telephone 0115 906 1200 for more information.


In addition we also have the newly refurbished Blacksmith's Forge room which is situated between the Cafe and Created by Hand shop.  This room seats up to 12 and can be hired for private dining, meetings, seminars or workshops.  

Pilates and Yoga Classes at Strelley Hall

There are currently Pilates classes running in the Morning Room at Strelley Hall on Monday mornings, and Baby Yoga/Yoga for mums-to-be on Wednesdays.  Please contact Strelley Hall reception on 0115 906 1200 for more details. 

Delicious ice cream

We stock delicious Bluebells ice cream which we sell by the scoop to eat in or take out. We always have nine delicious flavours to choose from such as strawberries and cream, devilishly chocolate, sticky toffee fudge or dairy free pear and elderflower sorbet. Bluebells is a local family run farm that produces homemade ice cream from their own cows' milk which travels less than 20 metres from the milking parlour to be made into ice cream. Why not pop in and try some for yourself!

Loyalty cards

We now have loyalty cards available for customers. Get your card stamped for each coffee or tea you buy and once you have 9 stamps you will get your 10th drink free. Pick a card up from the cafe and start collecting your stamps!
